Our Pesach Seder

The Matzah Man came to school!!!

Parsha
We reviewd parsha Vayakhel and Pekudei and learnt all about parshas Hachodesh and the mitzvah of blessing the new moon.

Yom Tov
Today we learnt about eating matzah andhow we have to say two brochas before we eat the matzah at the seder.

Craft
We illustrated the third question of the mah nishtana and made a maror man and vegetable man.

Numeracy

We did a dot to dot up to number 10 and formed a star

We also went to library today!!!

The Matzah Bakery

Parsha
Today we learnt how when the mishkan was ready it kept falling down. Only when Moshe set it up did it stand. We also learnt that Parshas Pekudei is the last parsha in the book of Shmos so when we finish reading the parsha we say Chazak Chazak Venischazeik.

Yom Tov
We learnt that when we say the ten makos we spill our wine in order to say "shame" for the Mitzrim for having suffered. We also learnt that you have to say three special words at the seder-Pesach, Matzah and Maror

Craft
Using pom poms we stuck bunches of grapes onto our kiddush cups. We also coloured in our three bowls in cray pas.

Literacy

We practised rhyming and matched two sets of rhyming pictures.

Parsha
Today we started learning parshas Vayakhel and Pekudei. We learnt how Moshe gathered Bnei Yisrael together and told them that Hashem had forgiven them for the chet haeigel and now they must build a mishkan. We discussed how we will take out two Torahs one for the parsha and one for parshas Hachodesh.

Yom Tov
We are very busy learning about Pesach. We are learning the order of the seder step by step. We are singing mah nishtanah, the ten makos,dayeinu and many other Pesach songs.

Crafts
Today we cut coloured and beaded two vassing cups for our haggodah

Numeracy

We matched snowmens hats that were numbered to the snowman with that amount of buttons on him.

Perception

We discussed fat and thin and circled all the thin pictures

from the mouths of babes!

While singing the names of the parshios in shmos, when coming to the end, instead of saying vayakhel Pekhudei, shaina said vayakhel had a good day!

Parsha
Today we learnt parshas Ki Sisa. We learnt about the half a shekel, the kiyor and that Bnei Yisrael must not forget about Shabbos while building the mishkan. We also learnt about parshas Parah and the Parah Adumah.

Yom Tov
We have started learning about Pesach . We are practising the mah nishtana. Today we started the order of the seder and learnt why we drink four cups of wine.

Craft
We traced and cut out a kiddush cup for our haggadah.

Numeracy

We joined the dots to form numbers on five fish. We then had to clour each fish in the correct colour and stick them in a bowl in the sequenced order.

We celebrated Rachaeli Hurwitz's birthday. Mazal Tov Rachaeli
