Our Rainbows
We learnt that in the days of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai a rainbow never appeared in the sky because he was such a great tzaddik.

Parsha
We highlighted mitzvos in this parsha. Honouring your parnets,loving your fellow Jew, not planting different plants together, sha'atnez and showing respect to elders.
Yom Tov
In preparation for Lag B'Omer we have started to learn the story of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Skills
We learnt a new initial sound"c". Using shapes we formed an aeroplane as per example.

Welcome back to our second term in Grade O.
We have all settled down and are working hard.
Parsha
Last week we learnt parshas Tazria and Metzora. We discussed tzora'as and all the ways one could get tzora'as and why.
This week we started learning parshas Acharei Mos and Kedoshim. We learnt that the Cohen godol was only allowed to enter the Kodesh Hakodoshim on Yom Kippur. On Yom Kippur he entered 4 times.
Yom Tov
We have been learning all about sefiras haomer- the counting of the omer. We have learnt that we are counting 49 days from Pesach until Shavuos. We discussed how 49 days equals 7 weeks.
Every day we count how many days have passsed and how many days are left. We also discuss how many weeks have passed and how many weeks are left.
We also learnt that the Omer is a sad time because during this time the students of Rabbi Akiva became sick and died. We discussed how we don't have weddings,listen to music in public or cut our hair . We are also discussing the importance of the mtzva of Ve Ahavta Lereiacha Kamocha - loving your fellow Jew.

SkillsWe have been concentrating on many different skills. We have discussed tall and short as well as long and short. We have copied patterns using shapes. We did a colour by number of a princess.
We also counted spots on dogs,dots on ladybirds and apples on trees. We practised rhyming and matched rhyming pictures.
Today we had two colour turtles as per instruction- colour the second turtle green.
